Emily Liu

I'm interested in healthy information ecosystems and technology as a means, not an end. I'm an engineer based in San Francisco and an incoming J.D. candidate at Stanford Law School.

Previously, I joined Bluesky as one of its first 10 employees to build an open social network. Before that, I built models, data pipelines, and visualizations for live election results and COVID data at The Washington Post. I've also worked on archival tooling and automated fact-checking for The New York Times and the Duke Reporter's Lab.
